Alicia Torres is a 17‑year‑old student who lives in a small but fast‑growing town. She believes that technology should solve real problems, so she spends most of her free time working on small inventions. Every morning, she wakes up at 6:00 a.m. because she likes to start her day early. She usually checks her emails during breakfast, since many people write to her asking for advice about their own projects.

After school, Alicia often volunteers at a local community center. There, she teaches children how to build simple machines using recycled materials. She thinks that learning basic engineering skills at a young age helps students become more confident.

In the evening, she normally works on her latest creation: a device that collects humidity from the air and turns it into drinkable water. She hopes this invention will help communities that suffer from water shortages.

Although her schedule is busy, Alicia always makes time for her family. She believes that balance is essential, and she tries to follow her own advice every day.
